Volkswagen AAA engine

The VW AAA engine is a 2.8L VR6 engine that was primarily used in Volkswagen vehicles during the early to mid-1990s. It fits the following vehicles:

1. Volkswagen Passat B4 VR6 (1993–1997)  
   • Both sedan and wagon models in certain markets were fitted with the 2.8L VR6 AAA engine.
2. Volkswagen Golf Mk3 VR6 (1992–1998)  
   • The Golf VR6 (also known as the GTI VR6 in the US) used the AAA 2.8L VR6 engine.
3. Volkswagen Jetta Mk3 GLX VR6 (1992–1998)  
   • The Jetta GLX trim came equipped with the AAA 2.8L VR6 engine in the US.

• The AAA VR6 is part of the narrow-angle VR6 family designed to fit transversely in front-wheel-drive cars.
• Later versions of the VR6 (like the AFP and BDF) replaced the AAA in updated models.
