Toyota 2E engine

The Toyota 2E engine is a 1.3-liter, inline 4-cylinder, carbureted engine that was produced in the late 1980s and 1990s. It is part of Toyota’s E-series engines, which were commonly used in small, compact cars.

   • Model years: 1985–1995
2. Toyota Corolla (E80 and E90 series)
   • Specifically the smaller displacement models
   • Model years: 1985–1992
3. Toyota Sprinter (E80 series)
   • Market-dependent twin of the Corolla
4. Toyota Corsa / Corolla II
   • Subcompact cars offered in Japan with 2E engine options

• The 2E engine is designed for FWD (front-wheel drive) configurations.
• It works best with E-series manual or automatic transmissions.
• Swaps into other E-series Toyota platforms are often possible with minimal modifications.
